Armed Forces Day - Originates from the date of August 31, 1949, when Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation to serve as a day to thank and honor the men and women currently serving in our nation's military. Veterans Day- In 1919 on the 11th of November “Armistice Day” was created and that is the beginning of Veterans Day. I day we as Americans use to honor those who served in any war to date and thank them for their sacrifice rather physical mental or the fact they did with out so we could have the lives we do. Memorial Day- Memorial Day is an American Holiday created to honor the ultimate sacrifice a member of our nation's military has paid for our freedoms. On the last Monday in May we honor those service members.
